The Flash is an American television series developed by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns, airing on The CW. It is based on the DC Comics character Barry Allen / Flash, a costumed superhero crime-fighter with the powerto move at superhuman speeds. It is a spin-off from Arrow. The series follows Allen, portrayed by Grant Gustin, a crime scene investigator who gains super-human speed, which he uses to fight criminals, including others who have also gained superhuman.
Team Flash meet Nora, Barry and Iris’ daughter from the future. After a series of tests confirmed Nora’s identity, while Iris seems happy to see her, Barry is concerned that Nora could alter time by interacting with her parents’ younger selves based on his past mistakes with time travels. The Team encounter a new metahuman named Gridlock, able to harness kinetic energy, with Barry suiting up in a variety of his previous costumes. When Barry tries to send Nora home, Wally reveals to them that Nora’s blood is saturated with negative tachyons, which react with the Speed Force meaning she cannot time travel. Barry asks Nora what happens to him in the future, with Nora revealing he never returned and she has lived her entire life with her mother. Gridlock causes a plane to fall, so Barry, Nora, Wally and Cisco go to stop it, with Nora providing Barry with a Flash ring suit. They phase the plane through buildings before it lands safely in the river. When Gridlock is being transported to prison, the transport vehicle is attacked and a masked individual enters the truck telling Gridlock that he plans to wipe out all metahumans before approaching him with a Flash insignia shaped blade.
